Obagi is actually only sold in doctor’s offices. At least, it should be sold only in accredited offices. There are however some who buy from doctors and then sell them on the side. This abuse of the product has worried most doctors and experts in the field of skin care.
One must remember that before using the product, patients must first consult for advice and information on how to use it the right way such as the right amounts that they can use, the kind of program and regimen that will fit their skin condition. Obagi does not have a fixed regimen. Different techniques are used for different people. The doctors should also be able to monitor the progress every few weeks.
Obagi skin system includes a gel and a toner, which is initially used to prepare the skin for the others that have to be used. Ordinary soap will not work as the skin has a natural barrier that must be penetrated. This is one of the reasons also why some cosmetic products do not often work
